"About Duke: He's very sweet & affectionate. Loves to be near us & gives lots of love. No aggressive behavior that we've seen. Takes food very gently & went into his kennel with no problems. Not a big barker. We left him out of his kennel last night & he did not bother anything! He's playful & seems to be very loyal. Follows us everywhere. He's great with my 9yr old daughter also. Very friendly. Doesn't beg while we're eating at the table either, he just sits there calmly. He's housebroken as well! No accidents in the house at all.
Duke will make a great companion."

Adopted: Leo, a 7 year old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"Leo hasn't been in our care long. What we do know is he's happy, great with other animals, and loves to chase a ball. Very friendly, gets along with dogs and cats. Loves to play fetch, especially with tennis balls. He will toss them back to you from his mouth to keep playing.
Pays more attention to people than other dogs. Plenty of controlled energy."

"Duke is such a sweet, loving little boy! He just wants to be loved and will gladly snuggle whenever you want to - as long as there is a chest rub involved, he's a happy camper! He is housebroken, uses his doggie door and won't get on the furniture until you give him the ok.
He LOVES to swim and quickly learned how to get in and out of the pool. I've barely heard him bark. He is not rattled by doorbells, vacuum cleaners or garbage disposals. . . he's just very easy going. He needs work on his commands, but he is a smart dog and will learn from someone who is patient and consistent. He does chase cats, however, and best suited for a cat free home.
He sleeps mostly on the bed, but will sometimes go lay on the tile in the bathroom, or get in his crate. He likes to be close but doesn't have to be touching you- he stays on his side of the bed! He sleeps through the night, but loves to go for morning walks right away.

Duke has had a bit of a rough life; he's broken his back leg (healed several years now) and had major dental surgery when he came to LVLR, which he is still healing from.
Duke is a very special Lab and will do great with someone who thinks of him as part of the family."

Adopted: Buddy, a 2 year old Black Male Labrador, has found his forever home.

"Buddy is such a sweet boy! When he is inside he is calm and happy. He hasn't tried to jump on any furniture or people and he slept in his kennel without problem. He seems to be potty trained and has not had an accident inside. He loves to play fetch and he gets along great with kids. He does love attention when he is outside and he may try to jump the fence if he is left alone. He's super smart and will surely be a great companion for any family. "

Adopted: Beau, a 5 year old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

"We've only had Beau with us for a few days, but it is impossible not to immediately fall in love with him! Beau was obviously a family dog, and his former owners clearly invested time in training him. He is completely housebroken. He knows his name and comes when called, he also knows commands such as sit, lie down, stay and he walks really nicely on a leash. When told to go into the crate, he does go easily. He's a Big Boy (nearly 90 lb) and much prefers to sleep on a big, soft pillow. Beau has a really sweet and easy-going personality, has no aggression with other dogs, but can appear disinterested in playing. Beau bonded immediately, and I am certain that he will be a loyal and loving member of any family lucky enough to adopt him!"

He is full of energy and life, and even though he is 7, he has the energy of a much younger dog. He is very active, loves walks and chasing a ball. Fletcher is housebroken and knows the use of a doggie door. He does well when crated and crates easily. He is familiar with the sit command, is very responsive to training and gets along well with other dogs. He has a willing attitude and is very happy, as he loves attention and scratches behind the ears. Fletcher needs an active family, with strong authority, structure and boundaries. With his energy level, he is better suited in a home without younger children, and needs a family that will have patience as he acclimates to new surroundings. Adopted: Tate, a 2 year old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

"Tate is an adorable and sweet young dog, with a great deal of puppy energy. He loves playing with toys and chasing around the backyard with my Black Lab Rudolph. Tate and Rudolph share toys, and Tate has shown no aggression at all - not to people, or to the other dogs . He sleeps through the night in his crate, and is starting to learn commands (he pretty nearly has 'sit' down pat!). Tate would do really well with an active family that will give him lots of attention. He needs outlets for all of that energy, and he needs some training. Invest some effort into training, and Tate will be a loving and fun member of the family."

"If you are looking for a great companion, this is the boy for you! Guinness loves to be a part of the family, no leaving him out. He just won't have it. Guinness is crate trained, potty trained and knows all the basic commands. He loves to be active....loves toy's, riding in the car, and most of all he loves the water. He gets along with other dogs and cats as well. He has been a joy to foster."

"Ripley is a very sweet, loving puppy. She thinks she is a lap dog & loves to give kisses. She gets along really good with other dogs and cats too !!! She loves to play fetch. "Cleo is a super dog. She is sweet, loving and even tempered. She is a little on the cautious side at first but once she gets to know you her true personality comes out. Cleo has no apparent crate issues, and sat next next to my couch until I invited her up. She explores the house and yard but in a lady like way. She is a medium sized lab with a playful side that comes out when you throw a ball for her. She has very soulful eyes. Cleo will be a wonderful addition to a loving, active family either on a hike or snuggling up to watch a movie. "

Adopted: Ethel, a 6 year old Female Black Labrador, has found her forever home.

"Hi, I am Ethel and I am 6 years old. I am the sweetest black lab who adores pets, scratches behind the ears, and belly rubs. Yes, I am a little overweight, but I am working on that. With proper diet, nutrition, and walks I will be fit as a fiddle in no time. I can sit, and lay down, I am really good in the house, and I am housebroken. Counter grazing is not an issue with me. Learning to use the doggie door was a snap, and I can sleep either in a kennel or on your bed. Other dogs are not a problem, but if they are over zealous with me, I will let them know to leave me alone by giving them a one-bark warning. Walks are a favorite time for me and I walk well on a leash (and they will help me get slim and trim). I am looking for a forever home that will give me lots of walks and loves."

"Errol is a large dog with an equally large heart. He gets along great with other dogs and is respectful of them. He has been trained so he knows basic commands and walks nicely on a leash. "Don't let the gray beard fool you! States has plenty of energy and so good-natured. He's happy and loving, does well with other dogs and even cats, and is generally just a happy dog. "We have only had Bella a short time, here is what we know. She's is very sweet, loving, and a bundle of puppy energy. She does well in the car, understands a few commands and comfortable in a crate. However, she lacks socialization skills with other dogs, and needs training to contain her energy around other dogs. It will take her time to understand how to get along with other dogs, so she may be best suited for an active family with her as the only dog."

"Our family was amazed how sweet & gentle Buck was as soon as we picked him up from Craig Road Animal Hospital....his ride home in the car was so smooth. He laid in the back seat and put his head on my 9 yr. old grandson's lap as if he was part of the family. His meet and greet with our 2 yr. old female also went very smooth. Buck is non aggressive and has no problem sharing toys. His first night I put him in his crate and he slept in until I woke him to take him out. What a joy this boy is!"

Adopted: Skylar, a 4 year old Female Yellow Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Skylar is looking for a special family to make her own. Skylar has a seizure condition, and is on daily medication to prevent them. It doesn't impact her health in any other way, but will need routine check ups to manage her medication.
We have only had Skylar for a very short time but already she is part of the pack with our 4 other labs. She loves to play fetch, play tug of war with a rope and even likes to swim. She didn't stay in the pool long because of the cold weather but she did do a lap around! She has the best personality and a constant smile on her face. She has zero aggression with food and seems to be potty trained. We are still working on basic commands but she does sit with a little encouragement. Skylar will make a great forever companion."

"Rodeo is sweet, gentle and affectionate. He is crate trained and slept through the first night without any problems.
He jumped right into the tub when I told him it was time for a bath and was happy with the attention. He gets along great with other dogs, displaying no aggression, and rides well in a car.

"We've only had Midnight for a short time but this is what we know so far:  Midnight is a gorgeous and confident female black lab. She likes to cuddle, play ball, explore the yard and appears to like the water going on the step in the pool. She has fit right in with our 4 dogs showing no signs of aggression. She is very well behaved with no jumping on people.  She is crate trained and rides well in the car. Overall, Midnight is a very loving, affectionate girl who is happy to return all the love and attention you give her. She would be a great addition to any family."
