Adopted: Bogo a a 1.5 year old Male Black Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

Bogo is a high energy, sweet Lab. He will need a committed, caring family willing to help him learn his manners.
Bogo is house trained, sleeps well in his kennel, and is good around other dogs. He doesn't quite play with our two, but that's because ours are aloof and disinterested to fosters anymore. He's a little scared on car rides, but that will improve with experience. Bogo really loves people, happy to snuggle and give kisses to anyone.
While Bogo is a year & a half old, he's still very much like a young puppy, needing to learn boundaries and structure. He's insecure, timid at first, and needs time to settle in and feel safe. When excited, he's very jumpy and mouthy. Shoes seem to be his favorite target so far, and we're teaching him what's acceptable to go in his mouth and what isn't. He's getting better walking on leash, and wants to please you. He's finally become comfortable enough to take naps in his kennel, on his own. He loves cuddling, and will be a great companion when he works through his insecurity and puppy traits.
Bogo is on his way to become the dog he is meant to be, he will need a family willing to continue training, have patience during his transition, and show him lots of love. For families with small children, Bogo would need an immediate commitment to training to help his transition and teach him proper behavior around little ones. Please keep that in mind if requesting a Meet & Greet. "

We received this heartwarming Happy Tail for Brody (formerly Buddy) from an LVLR volunteer!

"We adopted Brody Kane (f/k/a Buddy) on 06/02/2018. You may be asking, “who is Buddy? I never saw him posted as an “available lab.” If you are a volunteer with Las Vegas Labrador Rescue (LVLR), you may have an opportunity to meet a lab before s/he is even released for adoption. And we got lucky when we were able to help transport Brody from a shelter in UT to LVLR, and quickly learned on the car ride Brody was special. After being released from Vet care, we scheduled a meet & greet with Brody's foster family, and we fell in love. And you all should be very disappointed you did not have an opportunity to adopt Brody Kane. Let me tell you why...

We adopted Flynn (f/k/a Icing) on 07/03/2014 through LVLR. Shortly thereafter, Mommy became an “official” volunteer with LVLR. Flynn was everything we could ask for in a dog - he was cuddly, lovey, protective, and an amazing companion. However, Flynn is “Mommy’s dog.” Flynn follows Mommy around, spends the day working with her, and is rarely more than an outstretched arm away from Mommy. Flynn sleeps next to Mommy’s side of the bed every night, and she likes it like that.

But...we have two (2) young boys who wanted “their own dog.” We were hoping for a second dog that would prefer to hang out with our boys, take turns sleeping in our boys’ rooms, and be the “boys’ dog” in all respects. Despite the naysayers (they know who they are), during our “meet and greet” with Brody Kane, he followed the boys around and wanted to hang out with them, although he was very friendly with Mom and Dad. Brody Kane and Flynn played together and did remarkably well.

So...we did the only reasonable thing we could do– we adopted Brody Kane. Our boys named Brody Kane - Our oldest son selected the first name - Brody, which is Irish and means “From the muddy place.” Our youngest son selected Kane after Harry Kane, striker for Tottenham Hotspur and captain of the England national team (what can we say...we love football/soccer).

Brody Kane fits with our family perfectly, better than anyone could have predicted. Brody Kane alternates sleeping in each boys’ room every single night (at bedtime, he looks at Mom, inquiring as to which room he’s sleeping in, goes into his bedroom and plops down on his memory foam dog bed). Brody Kane follows both boys around, and he only hangs out with Mom and/or Dad when the boys are at school. Brody Kane loves to ride in the car with Mom to take the boys to school, although he cries when the boys get out of the car - it is so sweet. To say that the boys got “their dog” is an understatement. I can’t say who loves whom more - the boys or Brody Kane. And, Daddy got a dog out of the adoption, too. While Brody Kane loves the boys “the most,” Daddy is a close second and he could not be happier.

Brody Kane has also had a wonderful impact on our Flynn. Flynn is a bit of a nervous fellow but the very mellow Brody Kane has helped Flynn be brave and less nervous. Flynn, who hates car rides, has even voluntarily taken a ride in the car to take the boys to school (pre-Brody Kane, this would never have happened). Before Brody Kane, when Mommy traveled for the occasional work trip, Flynn would isolate himself from the rest of the family and wait for Mommy’s return. Now, Flynn hangs out with the family, although Daddy said it is apparent that he is listening for Mommy to arrive home. Brody Kane and Flynn are best friends - they play together and they will even eat off the same platter together (while being carefully supervised). Flynn happily shares his toys and treats from his monthly Bullymake box with Brody Kane.

When we adopted Flynn, we thought we had the best dog in the world. After adopting Brody Kane, we realized that we have the two (2) best dogs in the world. We love our Flynn (who we call “Puppy”) and Brody Kane (who we call “Baby Puppy”). Thank you Las Vegas Lab Rescue for completing our family, again."

Adopted: Doug, a 4 year old Male Yellow Labrador, who is looking for his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"Doug is a sweet lab with a great temperament, he is a lovable fluffy boy who sometimes forgets how big he is. He's always excited to meet new friends, whether they are people or other dogs. He gets along well with other dogs and hasn't met a person he doesn't like.

With a lot of energy Doug is fully housebroken, and he understands "sit" but is easily distracted by basically everything. He is a very big boy with a big heart to match, and is a great companion. He likes tummy rubs and splaying out on the floor. Doug is still working on his crate training, and needs to lose some weight. Doug will make a great addition to the right family committed to continuing his training and weight loss. Doug needs a family that understands his needs and are willing to be patient with his transition. "

Adopted: Sammy, a 5 year old Black Female Labrador, who is looking for her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Sammie is a sweet, shiny black-coated Labrador Retriever. She is fully house-trained, knows to use the doggie door, and responds to many commands. She is well-behaved and knows her toys from her Pradas. She LOVEs to swim and will fetch a toy with gusto. She enjoys meeting new people and is good with other dogs. She is confident and curious and will go outside on her own and lie down in the back yard even if my other dogs aren't there. But she also enjoys being part of the pack and will always run with my two. She is not food-driven, she doesn't surf the counters, and doesn't beg for food at the dinner table. She has a very soft and easy mouth when she takes a biscuit or a piece of apple from my hand.

She will go into a crate, but needs to be coaxed with a biscuit.

Regrettably, Sammie may have received too much coaxing in her life, as she is a good bit heavier than her vet thinks is appropriate or healthy for a dog of her bone structure and age.

I am working with Sammie as when we walk, she pulls on the leash. But she wants to please and to learn, so I am sure she will get this part with a little more effort. Swimming and walking (not running) have been very good for her and she enjoys both.

Sammie is a great young lady and a sweet easy dog who will be a glorious addition to any home, especially one that will work with her over the coming months to get her weight down before-hand, so that she can then start to have a more active lifestyle befitting a 5 year old Lab."

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Dixie is a very cute, loving Lab. At 11 months old Dixie is very energetic, lovable, loves to cuddle and aims to please. She is housebroken and has some basic training (sits and goes in her kennel). She's learning to walk well on leash, and is good riding in a car. Dixie is very smart, naturally curious and wants to learn. As Dixie is still a puppy, she needs proper exercise and guidance to channel her puppy energy. She gets along with other dogs with proper introductions. Dixie can be a little timid at first, but warms up with easily with positive attention. Dixie will be great for an active, loving family willing to take the time to teach her confidence, boundaries and security.

Dixie is currently recovering from an infection on the side of her face that required a small surgery. While she has staples, she's healing nicely and expected to be 100% after a week of rest & relaxation. "

We received a fantastic Happy Tail for Cami. Happy Gothcha Day!

"This Las Vegas Lab Rescue alumni has grown into such an amazing, beautiful girl . She has a personality like no other and fits perfectly into our family. She’s still holds on to her goofy, puppy personality but can be the biggest cuddler of all her sisters in the family. She plays nonstop all day and then sleeps all night while taking our entire bed to herself. Cami is obsessed with socks and hold the record of stuffing 9 socks in her mouth all at once ! She never eats them , just likes to steal as many as possible and then she waits with a tail wagging as fast as it can possibly go to see which one of us finds her first. This has become a little game of hers every morning while getting ready for work. She has become dad’s little hunting side kick and continues to train to become a one of a kind duck dog.
We are so excited to announce that our Cami Sue is also a hero, a life saver! She did her first donation with the Las Vegas Animal Blood Bank this past week. She was a trooper for her first time and especially loved all the snacks that she received afterwards .
We couldn’t imagine our family without Cami and are so excited to be celebrating her one year anniversary with us!"

Adopted: Kobe, a 7 year old Black Male Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"Kobe is a 7 year old male black Labrador Retriever with a heart as big as the universe. Which is only fitting, because Kobe himself is very, very big! (For those who know Labs well, I would describe him as having the sturdy, stocky build of an English Lab, but the height and length of the largest American Labs.)

He is gentle, easy-going, and seems to exude 'kindness'. He bonds quickly with anybody who shows him affection, but isn't clingy or in need of constant attention. Happy to lie down nearby and stay there for 5 minutes or 2 hours - whenever the action moves, so does he.

Kobe isn't great with specific commands, but he must have had excellent training at some point because he is very well-behaved. He does not chew things other than toys and even then only if he's really bored. He eats slowly but has a hearty appetite and enjoys his treats. Doesn’t try to take food from the table or kitchen counters. He responds to hand-signals for sitting down, and he understands No, although I don’t have to use it often at all.

He walks beautifully on a leash although he is timid in new surroundings and sometimes needs a little gentle coaxing. Same getting into and out of the car. Rides well in the car once he's in and settled.

Kobe gets along well with my two Labradors, goes into the crate if coaxed with a biscuit, is house-trained and uses the doggie door.

A great boy, Kobe will be a magnificent addition to any Lab lover's family."

As a young lab, he displays high energy while walking on a leash but with some consistent training, all bad habits can be broken! Tahoe has mastered using the dog door and seems to be house trained as long as he has access to outside. He’s been friendly with both our dogs and cats and will likely do just fine in a house with other animals. Tahoe will make a great dog anyone in the market for their new best friend!"

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE REQUESTING TO MEET HANK!
"Hank is a very special foster Lab that will need a very special family, one that will be dedicated from day 1 to Hank's training. Hank isn't just a typical mouthy Lab, Hank is a very determined Lab who likes to eat things that are dangerous for him. Hank will need constant supervision until he's trained in order to prevent him from ingesting something he shouldn't. Please make sure before you request to meet Hank that you are prepared for the work he needs changing his behavior. We strongly believe this is a situation for a professional dog trainer, and we at LVLR are ready to provide options for his training.

As for Hank's personality, he's a lovely, sweet, affectionate Lab. He rides well in the car, is comfortable in his crate, and sleeps through the night. Hank does well on leash, is house trained and good with other dogs. Hank still has the bouncy energy of a Lab, and will need suitable play time, but also settles down easily and likes to be with people. Hank simply needs a strong leader committed to working through his drive to eat objects. We believe with the right training, supervision, structure and boundaries, Hank will make an amazing companion for the right family."

Please make sure you are willing to commit to training BEFORE requesting to meet Hank.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Hi! I am Sophie, a 1 1/2 year old, female, yellow lab.

I am an absolute lover! I love to be with my humans, love lots of scratches behind the ears, belly rubs and attention. I get along with other dogs as well as children. I can walk on a leash; however, my attention span is short because there are a lot of this to see and smell outside. I can sit upon the sit command, but because there is so much to explore, I don't sit for very long. I can come, on command, if I want to. I can use a doggie door and use the outside to do my business. I am a very happy dog, I love to run and play and a very willing learner.

I do not like the kennel, cause I like to come and go as I please in the house. I do not dig in the yard. I love to run out the front door, because it is such a big world out there with a lot of smells to investigate and things to explore. I am a very smart girl and I can open doors with latch handles, but I have not learned how to get back in. I love the backyard and am very willing to stay in it as long as there is a way to get back inside when I want too.

I am very young and have a lot to learn, but I am willing to be a good student. I am still a puppy at heart and in mind. I can't wait to meet my forever family and begin learning to be the awesome dog I know I have inside me."

"Mickey is a playful, young spirited, intelligent dog. Patience and consistency is of utmost importance because Mickey is intelligent but, has a puppy's attention span. He requires lots of play time, as most puppies do, but he’s very good with potty training. He is familiar with the use of doggie doors and often goes potty outside on his own. Mickey also learns very quickly and currently knows how to sit, stay, and kennel; although kenneling is his least favorite. When it comes to socializing with other dogs, Mikey is friendly towards other dogs but, is still getting to know the boundaries of other dogs.
Mickey’s ideal home is one where a considerable amount of play and affection can be given. An active family who has time to give all the love and attention that Mickey needs would be perfect for this young pup."

Happy Gotcha Day to Aspen Giselle, the mother of our Magnificent 7 litter of 2017. We love reading her beautiful update.

"Words can express the gratitude we have for the Las Vegas Labrador Rescue and all the wonderful volunteers especially to Victoria and John. Today is the 1 year anniversary for being blessed with Aspen Giselle aka Stretch (she is our first fur-baby that stretches every time she gets up). She is such a loving girl, snuggles between my husband and I nightly and gives soft gently kisses and a gentle paw swipe to tell us she wants more rubs. I believe her sweet gentle nature was developed when she was being a wonderful mommy to her babies. Aspen is very smart and a quick learner, she gives hi-fives and will sit/stay until she is told she can move (better than her older sister Cypress!). Her favorite toys are her Frisbee and tennis balls however loves to scatter all her toys in the living room and does not like it when I put them back in her toy box. She also knows the sound of our truck keys and bounces around like Tigger in hopes of going for a ride especially to our ranch in Utah. Thanks to you all for allowing us to be parents to such our amazing girls, Aspen Giselle and Cypress Blaze.

Mia 2 sleeps through the night in her kennel, rides well in a car, is doing great with our dogs and appears to be house trained. She does pull on a leash and needs some more work on her manners. Mia 2 is very sweet, affectionate and loving once she feels safe, and is getting more playful by the day. She’s playful and really holds her own around other dogs. No issues with small dogs or larger dogs, just very happy and energetic towards all. She’s still not super accustomed to her crate and doesn’t like sleeping in it but she will go in it for a couple hours. Though from what I’ve noticed she does learn fast such as with commands like “come” for example. With a family dedicated to teaching her manners, expectations and boundaries, I feel confident she’ll be fully trained in no time."

"Kimber is a wonderfully sweet, loving Lab. She is timid and shy at first, a little unsure of her circumstances, but once she's comfortable she's very affectionate. We're working on her confidence, as she's not a fan of the crate nor being left alone, but she gets better every day with consistency, love and guidance. Kimber rides well in the car, is house trained, sleeps through the night and is happiest when she can cuddle with a human. She's doing well with the other dogs in the house, and is beginning to play a little more. For a younger Lab, Kimber is surprisingly laid back and calm, she's really a sweet, gentle soul. Kimber still needs to work on some manners, she's curious about counter surfing, pulls on leash, and would really thrive with some training, patience and boundaries. Kimber will make an incredibly loving, wonderful furry companion to any family with a little patience to build up her confidence."

"Layla is one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. Despite her having been a stray and her young age, she is a very well behaved, relatively mellow, and a sweetheart. She will follow you around wherever and just sit next to you until you’re ready to pay attention to her again. She is still getting accustomed to reacting when her name is called so patience is required but that is to be expected. She does very well with small dogs, is gentle with them, and loves to play. While on our walks she has been cautious around bigger dogs. Her future family should be ready to have enough discipline to train her as she is not yet used to walking on a leash. Currently she is not fully potty trained but hasn’t had any accidents since the first the day we took her in so I believe she’ll get it down in no time. She does not cry while being in her kennel, sleeps through the night and hardly barks in any circumstance. She does have a hard time wanting to go inside her kennel so I would suggest spending some time working with her in that respect. Overall Layla deserves a family that has an open heart and schedule, in order to play and spoil her with attention. "

"Lucy is a typical 4month old little Labrador. Puppies will be puppies and she does not disappoint. I’ve only had her a short time and she has already learned a lot. She knows the phrase “go potty” and will go pretty much on command, but occasionally just can’t get out the door quick enough. She does ok with the crate but would much rather be in your lap. She is getting to know the doggie door, but mine is a bit too big for her little tiny body just yet. I have no doubt though that she is a quick learner. We are working on “sit, lay down and stand up”. . . but have a ways to go of course. She loves to be held and carried. . . . just like a little baby. If MY Labrador would permit it (he’s being a real brat) she would love to play with him. She is fascinated with birds and saw a cat yesterday that she would have loved to play with. . .it was so close to her size! Lucy is just adorable and will quickly melt your heart. She will do well with someone who will cuddle with her, yet be firm in her training. She’s a little shy with people that she doesn’t know, but warms up once she has assessed their intent. Lucy is going to be a great addition to someone’s life! "

He rides well in the car and is sleeping overnight in his crate. As long as he is provided with adequate and frequent time outside, he does not have accidents indoors. Buddy is working on learning the command “off” to not jump on people, and like any puppy, needs to work on his manners. Adopted: Piper, a 2 year old Female Chocolate Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Piper is a very special Lab in the LVLR family. When she came to the rescue, we soon discovered she had some issues with her teeth, requiring extra time and research to find the best course of medical care to ensure a long and happy life. Through x-rays we soon learned Piper had an impacted lower canine tooth that had never grown in properly, that was actually underneath the roots of her other teeth. This situation called for an extraordinary canine dental expert, and after a good deal of research and interviewing, we found the right specialists in Arizona, Canine Dental Specialists, Dr. Alex Adrian. Two board members for LVLR then took Piper to Phoenix for her surgery, and while it was complicated and detailed, she was in the very best medical hands. We are so very happy that it went well, and Piper is 100%! She's missing a few teeth, but now lives a pain free life.

As for Piper herself, she is a beautiful, smaller Lab with the glorious disposition and energy you would expect from a 2 year old! Although always good to go, she is just as happy curling up next to us watching TV or reading a book, and loves to lie in the sun while I am working at my computer. She gets along very well with my dogs and quickly became part of the pack. Piper is happy, confident and likes to think she can be the leader of the pack. Don't know how she might behave with cats.

She's not a chewer although an odd sock has gone missing with remnants appearing later in a more digested form. She likes toys but tends to shred the flimsier ones, so hard rubber toys are best. She loves to fetch also. No interest in the swimming pool even when the weather was warmer and one of my other dogs would go in. She is a counter surfer and only thanks to her petite size is unable to get food from the kitchen counter unless it's right at the edge. Dining room table is definitely within her access, though, and she will need some eyes-on supervision until she learns what's off limits.

Piper only barks when appropriate, isn't spooked by loud noises (such as New Year's Eve fireworks), and will happily go into a crate although I haven't needed to crate her for months, other than briefly after her dental surgery.

Like any puppy, she needs training - to reinforce what she already knows (a few basic commands), to add manners and to polish the rough edges that come from too much puppy enthusiasm. She walks okay on a leash with a slip collar, but heeling is still elusive! When she meets new people, she tends to jump up onto them, and we are working on this too.

Piper's got just the right balance of lovey little delicate girl (who lies with paws crossed!) and bouncy beach combing leaping, jumping Labrador! She will become a magnificent adult and would love nothing more than to grow with an equally wonderful family.

Because of the very special dental surgery Piper needed when she came to the Rescue, which was made possible the generous contributions of our supporters and fund-raising partners, she will be participating in a corporate charity event later in February to showcase how those funds saved Piper's life. Her lucky adoptive parents will need to agree to allow Piper to participate in this event under the control and supervision of the Rescue. Details will be made available to potential adopters who are interested in Piper."

Adopted: Luke, a 2 year old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"This handsome boy Luke has stolen our hearts with his sweet kisses and tail wags. He is a curious and playful young Labrador that enjoys the simple things in life like bones and ear scratches. He loves to play with other dogs and does well on a leash. He is full of energy and very active. He has no problem going in his kennel when necessary and has quickly learned to use the dog door to go to the bathroom, we have not had any accidents to date! He has shown great interest in our cats and has enjoyed chasing them as he thinks it’s a fun game. Luke appears to have some difficulty trusting, seems to favor women when bonding, taking time to relax and feel comfortable in a new surrounding. We are confident that with a lot of love and patience he will grow to adore every member of the family."

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Riley is a great dog who loves people and would get along great with any family. I love having her around! She is fully house trained, does not jump on people and rarely barks. In fact, I’ve maybe hear her bark once since I’ve had her. She knows some basic commands and is pretty good on the leash. Off leash she is responsive and has pretty good recall. Riley can be very active and adores playing fetch, but she can be comfortable sitting around at home on occasion as well. I don’t have any other pets at home, but at the park, she is cordial with other dogs, but would much rather play with you. She would make a wonderful addition to any family that is active and able to spend time outside with her daily.""

Happy Tail: Jojo (Formerly Josie)

What a wonderful start to 2018, with an incredible Happy Tail.

"We got Jojo aka Josie in September 2017 - she was approximately ten months old. I know we have only had her almost four months but we cannot imagine our life without her.

Boy - did I forget how much a puppy can change your life! She still forgets that she cannot jump on everyone that walks in the door and her mouthiness is reducing. She is no longer jumping on counters, she had a few accidents in the house during the first two weeks, she quickly learned potty goes outside. She loves her squeaky toys and when she is excited we get squeak serenades. I realized quickly that if she is not exercised then she finds things like pulling tissues out of wastebaskets and collecting our socks from our hamper and carrying them in her mouth is her way of telling us that she needs physical exercise. Although Jojo gets a little mischievous, she is a wonderful dog over all.

She is a chaser! She chases anything that moves and flies such as birds, butterflies, flies, bees, lizards, and rabbits. She loves our yard and thankfully she is not destructive. She likes to carry and moves things around and that is okay. Thankfully she does not have destructive behavior, we do have not had to worry about excessive chewing or digging. We had experienced some rat visits and she successfully has shown us where to focus our attention and because of her help, two rats were captured. We also have a ground squirrel problem so I am sure some day she will be extremely effective in protecting our garden! I just don't know what I will do when she actually catches a bird, squirrel or even a bee? She has trapped a quail but my mom was able to help the quail escape, for the most part I believe the birds just know to stay away when they see her! We have twenty two fruit trees and two garden beds - so I am sure the spring will bring lots of fun for her.

We no longer kennel her at night. She has a bed on my side of the bed. Currently she does not have full reign of the house during the day as we have a grumpy old lady , Gracie, our 15 year old Daschund Terrior mix. Jojo insists that Gracie play with her and Gracie insists that she will not! Because she loves to roll around in dirt (most of our back yard is dirt) so she is not allowed on our couches but she is allowed on two ottomans and an old black recliner. She loves her bear, well it's actually a monkey, but it took me several weeks to realize that it was a monkey and not a bear. She is gentle with her bear monkey and carries it everywhere she goes in the house. She is gentle and is intrigued by babies, gentle with the elderly and knows she can be playful with the kids.

I look forward to my retirement in approximately 10 months to spend more time with my fur baby and future gardening friend. We are in love with her and her puppy antics just make her fun! Thank you to the Las Vegas Labrador Rescue for your hard work!

Sylvia and Mark"

Adopted: Shaye, a 3 year old Black Female Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"n the short time we have had Shaye she has been an absolute joy! She has been very friendly with our two dogs and has shown little interest in our cats. She is energetic and playful and sure to become your next best friend. This girl loves to snuggle and will gladly accept belly rubs at any time. She has done great in the crate but would also be comfortable laying around with you. Shaye rides well in the car, and loves talking walks. She does know how to use the dog door but she must be closely monitored in the backyard as she may have a tendency to find an escape route or jump a fence. Shaye does need some work with her manners, as she's she working on her potty training, jumping on people, and not pulling on the leash, but with a little training, patience, and a whole lot of love she great potential to make a wonderful family member."

Adopted: Harley, a 4 year old Female Yellow Labrador, has found her forever home!

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"We've only had Harley for a short time but this is what we know so far: Harley is a gorgeous and confident female lab. She likes to cuddle, explore the yard and appears to like the water going on the step in the pool. She also will stay right at your side following you around the house. She has fit right in with our 4 dogs showing no signs of aggression. She appears to have had little training but is responding well to new commands. She can sit, stay and is currently learning to walk on a leash. She appears to be house broken. She is making great progress as she wants to please. Continuing training is needed for her to live up to her potential. She is crate trained and is basically quiet once in. Overall, Harley is a very loving, affectionate girl who is happy to return all the love and attention you give her. She would be a great addition to an active family."

Adopted: Opie, a 2 year old Male Chocolate Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"Opie is one sweet pooch! He loves to cuddle and play and he plays well with all of our other dogs. He learned to use the doggie door in one day and then proceeded to figure out how to use it for going to the bathroom by the next day. He loves to play tug of war both with the other dogs and with us. Opie stays off the furniture in general but he will want to get up on your lap/bed to cuddle. He has learned to walk on a loose leash but he also comes back to you when called when he is off leash. He is a quick learner and doesn't have any bad habits that we can detect. Opie will do very well with a family who wants a friendly, energetic and fun dog. He is super affectionate and loving, a little snuggle bug.
Opie is very energetic and will need regular exercise and play. He will get into a kennel in the car easily but so far, he has not been a fan of riding in a car. He doesn't get sit but he is a bit vocal. We think he will overcome this as he gets more used to traveling. Opie is very affectionate and will need lots of love and hugs."

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Remi is a sweetheart of a dog who is charming and very lovable. She is a quick learner who has learned how to use the dog door and walk on a leash without pulling. She knows the basic commands, comes when called, sits before leaving the kennel, and responds well to voice commands. We don’t know if she is good with cats because our cat is shy around strangers, four and two legged ones. When Remi sees our cat she chases her, but has never been aggressive in any manner. Remi has only been with us for one day but she is perfectly comfortable around our dogs and in our home. She hasn’t even shown any trepidation around strange dogs on our walks. Remi is a joyous and loving girl and will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family."
