Adopted: Jocko, a 1.5 year old Black Male Labrador, who is looking for his forever home.
Here is a bio from his foster family:
"Jocko is named for Navy Seal Jocko Willink. Jocko is active, energetic, and quick to learn. He can be very timid, especially around new people and dogs, but quickly warms up. Jocko is becoming more confident with structure and attention.
Jocko is good with other dogs, playful and responsive. He will play with other dogs and play "tug of war" with a rope toy with dogs and humans. Jocko walks pretty well on a leash and does very well on long walks, and hikes in the desert.
Jocko is a lover and enthusiastically enjoys pets, attention, tummy rubs, scratches behind the ears and cuddles. He thinks he is a lap dog.
Jocko is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door and do his business outside. He knows the commands; come, off, leave it, sit, down, kennel, load, do your business and stay. He is kennel trained and travels well in the car.
Jocko is a very loving and affectionate boy, and will climb in your lap if you let him. He will make a great companion to a family committed to his ongoing training."
Both Ballen and Jocko have had preliminary service training, and while they weren't suitable to to be official service animals, they have a great foundation and are smart, fast learners.
